One of the ways we fundraise for our organization is by throwing a party. At the party, animal lovers have the opportunity to meet each other and spend some time together. They also donate to Vafa while at the party which then helps with the shelter’s expenses.

Each year, Fariba Fard, a friend of Vafa in Toronto, holds a potluck at her home. This potluck is thrown in honor of her best friend and fellow active Vafa volunteer, Soheila’s birthday. Fariba, along with her husband Bahman, generously open their home to guests and friends and shoulder the bulk of the responsibilities.

This past year, on the 16th of December, another one of their successful potlucks was held which was attended to by more than 60 guests. Many of the guests brought their own delicious vegetarian meals to contribute to the party. Additionally, two catering companies, “Fondantflair Vafa” and “Persian Canapes”, also brought their delicious and artistically decorated meals to the events.

We thank all those who were in attendance, and we wish for even bigger and more successful parties and events in the future.

یکی از راه های جمع آوری کمک مالی برای پناهگاه های وفا، برگزاری مهمانی است. از این طریق هم حامیان حیوانات با هم آشنا می شوند و چند ساعتی را با هم می گذرانند و هم با اهدای کمک مالی می توانند در هزینه های پناهگاه ها مشارکت کنند.

فریبا فرد، یکی از دوستان وفا در تورنتو، هر سال به مناسبت تولد دوستش ـ سهیلا ـ که یکی از کوشاگران وفا و مسئول واگذاری سگ ها در خارج از کشور است، یک مهمانی پات لاک ترتیب می دهد. او و همسرش ـ بهمن ـ با خوشرویی و سخاوت خانه و امکاناتشان را در اختیار وفا می گذارند و برای برگزاری این میهمانی بیشترین زحمت ها را بر دوش می گیرند.

مهمانی سال گذشته شانزدهم دسامبر 2018 با موفقیت تمام و با حضور بیش از شصت نفر برگزار شد. بسیاری از میهمانان با غذاهای گیاهی خوشمزه دستپخت خود در میهمانی حضور داشتند. دو کیترینگ بسیار باسلیقه به نام های Fondantflair Vafa و Persian Canapes نیز خوراکی های خوشمزه ای را با تزئینات زیبا به این میهمانی هدیه کرده بودند.
